Housing support

The Ministry of Regional Development provides, among other agendas, national housing grants

The support is targeted at:

• supported housing in the Czech Republic used to provide social housing for persons of economically inactive age (seniors) and for persons who have difficult access to housing due to special needs resulting from their unfavourable social situation (age, health status);
• improving the quality of the housing by removing barriers to entering the house and the elevator;
• construction of passenger lifts in houses that are not and have never been equipped with it but have the construction and technical preconditions for this

Program: Housing support

Subprogram: Apartment buildings without barriers

Focus	Removal of barriers when entering an apartment building and an elevator, construction of an elevator in apartment buildings where it has never been
Max. amount of subsidy (CZK)	50% of eligible expenses, max. 200 thousand for the barrier-free entrance
	50% of eligible expenses, max. 800 thousand for the construction of an elevator
Possible recipients	the owner or co-owner of an apartment building, or a community of owners
	the owner or co-owner of a unit performing the activity of an administrator in an apartment building in which the community of owners did not originate

Sub-program: Construction of assisted housing (nursing homes)

Focus	Construction of rental flats for seniors aged 65+ and for persons dependent on the help of another person (min. number of newly built units is not determined)
Max. amount of subsidy (CZK)	600 thousand per flat
Possible recipients	municipalities + legal entities

Sub-program: Construction of assisted housing (Community senior homes)

Focus	Construction of houses with rental apartments for the elderly aged 60+ and community spaces in order to support the community way of life on the principle of neighborhood assistance, and thus preserve and extend their self-sufficiency - (min. number of newly built units is 10 - max. is 25)
Max. amount of subsidy (CZK)	600 thousand per flat
Possible recipients	Municipalities + legal entities
