If you, as a person who has demonstrated professional competence or whose professional competence has been recognised in accordance with the Act on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications, wish to extend the validity of the authorisation to assess the hazardous properties of waste, you must apply to the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Health.

When to address the service
Back to topIf you, as an authorized person, submit an application for the extension of the validity of the authorization to evaluate the hazardous properties of waste no later than 6 months before the expiration of the period for which this authorization was granted, the authorization to evaluate the hazardous properties of waste does not expire until the application is legally decided. The period of validity of the authorization to assess the hazardous properties of waste can be extended for a maximum of 5 years, repeatedly.
How to get the service
What do you need when solving the service electronically
An application for extension of the authorisation to assess the hazardous properties of waste, which, in addition to the general requirements under the Administrative Regulations, must include:
- the e-mail address of the applicant, if he/she does not have an appointed professional representative,
- the name and, where appropriate, the surname and e-mail address of the applicant's expert representative, if one has been appointed,
- the number of the electronically legible identification document, if the applicant is a non-entrepreneurial natural person, if such a document has been issued to him,
- a list of the hazardous properties of the waste listed in the Annex to the directly applicable European Union legislation on hazardous properties of waste for the assessment of which the authorisation is requested,
- certified copies of documents proving the competence of the applicant or the applicant's professional representative to assess the hazardous properties of the waste
- proof of payment of the administrative fee.
Professional competence shall be demonstrated to the Ministry of the Environment by proof of:
- university education,
- at least 10 years of experience in chemistry or waste management; and
- that the applicant has received training in hazardous waste assessment approved by the Ministry within the last 6 months prior to the application for authorisation or application for renewal of authorisation.
Professional competence shall be demonstrated to the Ministry of Health by proof of:
- university education,
- completion of specialised training in hygiene and epidemiology or occupational medicine or toxicology for the assessment of hazardous properties of waste listed in the Annex to the directly applicable European Union legislation on hazardous properties of waste under the designations HP 4 to HP 11 and HP 13, and completion of specialised training in hygiene and epidemiology, veterinary medicine or a science discipline including microbiology for the assessment of hazardous properties of waste listed in the Annex to the directly applicable European Union legislation on hazardous properties of waste under the designation HP 9,
- at least 10 years' experience in the relevant field referred to in point (b); and
- that the applicant has received training in the assessment of hazardous properties of waste, the content of which has been approved by the Ministry of Health, within the last 6 months prior to the application for authorisation or application for renewal of authorisation.
Where and how to solve the service electronically
The application is submitted to both the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Health.
The application shall be submitted to the Ministry of the Environment via:
a data box (ID: 9gsaax4), or
a data box for the receipt of bulk messages (up to 50 MB) (ID: 8qzykr4).
The application shall be submitted to the Ministry of Health, via a data box (ID: pv8aaxd).

The submission of an application or its extension is subject to an administrative fee of CZK 1,000.
