Main information about the service
If you intend to move a live specimen of an endangered species of animal from Annex A to Council Regulation 338/97 within the European Union , where the destination of the specimen has already been determined in the relevant import permit or other certificate, you must have a certificate for this movement.
The Ministry of the Environment can issuea permit for the transport of specimens upon application .

You are a natural or legal person who intends to transport within the European Union a specimen of an endangered species of animal from Annex A to Council Regulation No 338/97 where, in accordance with Article 9 of that Regulation, a destination has already been previously established for that specimen in the relevant import permit or other certificate. No transport permits are required for captive-born and captive-bred specimens.

Back to topIf you are planning to move a live specimen of an Annex A species of Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 with a predetermined destination, you must arrange a certificate in advance by applying to the Ministry of the Environment.
How to get the service
What do you need when solving the service electronically
An application for a movement certificate must include:
• completed Application Forms and Record Cards - see Document Request Forms (Annexes 2 and 3);
• an officially certified copy of the permit for the business activity related to the possession or transfer of the specimen, if the applicant carries out such activity;
• proof of origin of the specimen being transported (e.g. import permit from a third country);
• the registration certificate for compulsorily registered specimens - in the case of permanent export, the original of this document;
• proof of payment of the administrative fee - see Information on the payment of CITES application fees.
Where and how to solve the service electronically
Please send the completed application with all annexes either:
- through the data mailbox (data mailbox ID: 9gsaax4)
- or by email to the Ministry of the Environment (email: posta@mzp.cz). The email request must be signed electronically.
Applications are dealt with in an administrative procedure and a decision is issued within 30 days from initiation of the procedure. (The procedure shall be initiated on the date of receipt of the application.)

The fee for electronically processed service
You must pay a fee of CZK 1 000 for the application for a movement certificate.
This fee is in accordance with item 61(1)(d) of the ‘Tariff’ to Act No 634/2004 Coll., on Administrative Fees.
The Ministry of the Environment accepts only applications accompanied by a receipt for payment of this fee.
You can demonstrate proof of payment of the fee by:
- a copy of the proof of payment by bank transfer
- a postal order stub showing proof of payment by post
For both forms of payment, please use the account of the Ministry of the Environment No:
19-7628001/0710, variable symbol 631.
When paying the fee, please fill in the variable symbol 631 and indicate your name on the postal or bank order.
What you’ll need to provide

Applications for transport permits (with all supporting documents) can be submitted in person at the filing office of the Ministry of the Environment or sent by post to:
