Main information about the service
Only a legal entity or a natural person engaged in business having its registered office or branch office on the territory of the Czech Republic may trade in wastes on the basis of and in accordance with a permit to trade in wastes issued by the competent Regional Authority for the registered office of the person requesting the issuance of a permit.
If the person requesting the issuance of a permit has its registered office outside the territory of the Czech Republic then the competent body to issue the permit is the Prague City Hall. The Regional Authority may lay down conditions in the permit to ensure adequate protection of the environment and human health.
The waste trading permit is issued for a definite period to a maximum of 6 years. The Regional Authority may extend the period of validity of the waste trading permit at the request of the waste dealer, always to a maximum of a further 6 years provided the conditions for its issue have been met. If the waste dealer applies for an extension, within the 6 months preceding the expiry of the period for which the permit was issued, the permit shall not expire, as long as no final decision has been made on the application.
On the basis of this permit you will be allowed to trade in wastes with a positive value on the market.
The particulars to be included in the application for a waste trading permit and the waste trading permit are set out in Annex 3 to Act No. 541/2020 Coll. on waste.
