Main information about the service
Facilities designated for waste handling may be operated by a legal entity or natural person engaged in business having its registered office or branch office on the territory of the Czech Republic.
The facility operating permit is issued for an indefinite period, with the exception of mobile facilities, for which the permit is issued for a definite period, to a maximum of 6 years. In case of interest an extension of the permit must be requested.
If the operator of a mobile facility applies for an extension, at the latest 6 months prior to the expiry of the period for which the permit was issued, the permit shall not expire, as long as no final decision has been made on the application.
The facility’s operating rules form an integral part of the facility operating permit. The requirements for the content of the operating rules form of facilities are defined in Annex No. 1 to Decree No. 273/2021 Coll. The application is sent electronically to the relevant Regional Authority via a data box or a document with a recognized electronic signature.

Back to topIf, as a mobile device operator, you apply for an extension no later than 6 months before the expiry of the period for which the permit was issued, the permit does not expire until a final decision has been made on the application.
